Ground red flesh from pods of the capsicum family. Mild and slightly sweet in flavor, aromatic and bright red in color. In this variety of paprika, the capsicum pods are smoked prior to being ground. Smoked Paprika is found in many Spanish dishes. Paprika is typically thought of a garnish spice. It adds color and flavor to soups, stews, salad dressings, eggs, fish, poultry and meats.
